MILITARY VAN ADVENTURE

BEFORE TAKING A TOUR!
Safety first! Check our quad safety tips before going on a tour.
These are the most important safety tips you need to watch out for when driving a quad vehicle. Safety is very important, especially if you have no previous experience in off-road driving on quad vehicles.
SAFETY GEAR
Helmets/bandanas
If you choose us for your quad experience, we will provide you with a helmet. Helmets should fit snugly and securely fasten to your head. In case your helmet doesn’t fit or fits awkwardly, please let us know BEFORE the tour. We will make sure to find you a better-fitted helmet. Our helmets have visors and sunglasses so they will protect you from debris, wind, and sun.
We provide you with a clean and disinfected bandana before every tour to minimize the sweat and to protect your pretty face from the wind and the sand.
Shoes
DO NOT WEAR FLIP FLOPS OR OPEN SHOES when going on a tour or in nature! I cannot stress this enough! It is not safe to wear open shoes when you are driving or when you are taking a break and walking on macadam – you might get injured or bitten. Our tours are 90% off-road, so the terrain is not suitable for open shoes.
CLOTHES
Long clothes/jacket/gloves
Considering the hot weather and driving through the macadam roads, it is best to wear layered clothes. You might want to bring a light jacket when driving our extended quad safari tour, as it is usually in the afternoon/evening. If there is a rain forecast, you might want to bring protective clothes/raincoat.
OTHER STUFF TO TAKE WITH YOU ON A TOUR
WATER, water and…more water.
Make sure you take enough water with you because hot weather and dust can get you dehydrated very quickly. STAY HYDRATED to avoid sunstroke and nausea. And us calling the ambulance, thanks 
FOOD
Our short tours last approximately 2,5 hours, so you might not need snacks, but it is good to have some snacks in case your blood sugar level drops or you get hungry If you don’t want to worry about snacks, we’ll take you to best local family farms on local gastronomical specialties tasting!
REPELLENT
If it’s spring/summertime, forest critters are surely awaiting some fresh blood to have a feast on! If you do not wish to be a walking bug buffet, please bring some repellent and apply it to any skin areas that are not covered in clothes.
VEHICLE SAFETY
Our Goes Iron Max 450 4×4 quads are new and stable vehicles. Your safety is our top priority, so we make sure to have our quads tested before every tour. We check our quads’ tires, brakes, steering system, engines etc. to make sure they are absolutely safe for you. But, if you feel something is off during the ride, please notify us so we can check it out and remove any potential breakdown!
Please note that quads are very different to steer from off-road motorbikes. So if you have experience in driving an off-road motorbike, please do not put your legs down on the floor when stopping a quad, as you would when stopping a motorbike. This can lead to foot injuries! Otherwise, quads are much safer and much more stable than motorbikes.

LISTEN TO OUR TOUR GUIDE’S SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS!
This might be the most important tip of them all. We have driven these roads many times and know all their quirks. Roads are safe and wide, but if you are a first-time-quadder, it is better to be safe than sorry. Quad is a machine, not a toy, and although it is easy to steer with, you might easily get carried away, fall and injure yourself. Riding a quad is NOT the same as driving a motorcycle or a car, so please forget everything you know about driving. Our guides will inform you how to drive safely and give you all the tips & tricks you should know. Feel free to ask if anything is unclear or if you think we forgot to mention something.
Before the tour, please notify us if you have:
- any medical conditions you might have that we need to be aware of,
- any fears/doubts you might have (about quads, roads, equipment, etc.)
If you have any concerns during the tour, it is better to stop and let us know so we can help you. We don’t mind an extra break to enjoy breathtaking views!
LAST, LEAST AND VERY IMPORTANT! DO NOT DRIVE INTOXICATED/UNDER ANY SUBSTANCE INFLUENCE!
Although it is sometimes fun (we are no strangers to a good glass of wine or bottle or two, too), but it might be extremely dangerous for you and for other people around you. We will not allow driving under the influence of any illegal substance or alcohol.
Please note that, in accordance to COVID-19 safety precautions, we disinfect and clean every single vehicle and helmet before every tour so you can stay as healthy and COVID-free as you are. We also provide you with a clean and disinfected bandana to wear under the helmet before every tour and measure temperature of all the participants
